Phase 2 continued ... Late November 2008

...

Now we are on to the exciting part whereby rooms get completed and dried out. The decorators also come along and paint the rooms one by one.

Soon the fitters will come and put up the curtains and carpets can go down - but more of that bit later!

Right now the last windows in this phase are in and the house is so much warmer and quieter.

Also the painting has commenced - one bedroom is done and looking pretty.. inc. some experimental additions to see what they look like !

Now the lounge work is also completed, with the plastering drying, the ceiling rose in place and the picture rail and skirting finished; only this to dry out completely and it too can be painted; hooray!

And in the last week of November - the Lounge has been decorated - yeah!

Now all we are awaiting is for the carpets to be fitted next week - and the curtains also - then we can show of the finished product. Then we will just need some of our pictures to go up and ornaments back in and we can relax.

Below also here is the new Blue Room plus the old Victorian grates being black leaded again (not daily thank goodness!). The cream and peachy shading of the walls downstairs changes with the light and the new/old ceiling roses set it all off ... Only the carpets and curtains to add now and we will be completed at last !
