  Golden Days for Goldie -

[December 1989 to 9th December 2005]

GOLDIE was part of our family...  after living some years

in Lincolnshire she lived with us in Sweden -

...she had a a wonderful life - see photos below

Jerry Green Sanctuary - Broughton, Lincs -

 meeting Goldie.. 9th September 1990

[Goldie was thought to be born December 1989 /January 1990 and was found wandering the streets of Scunthorpe where she went to the safety of Jerry Green, Broughton]

and so Goldie is chosen by her new family .. Goldie - UK 1990 - Going home

Getting to know you !

Goldie settling in on "her" sofa- early days ...

Young Goldie enjoying  a freshen up!

This is Lucky - Goldie's "special"friend in the UK

Life is good - and this is Goldie in 1997 - blooming!

and this is Signe in the meadow - Goldie's companion of nearly 12   the  family's Swedish rescue dog   a Laplandish Shepard

There is always time for a kiss and cuddle with mum of course -

on Goldie's sofa  that she has always loved

enjoying the afternoon sunshine - Autumn 2005 Goldie today - at nearly 16 - bless her - a grand lady - saved by Jerry Green - homed by a wonderful family

We sadly lost Goldie ...peacefully in December 2005 ...this is our tribute to her

GOLDIE -  rest in peace ...

This is Goldie, who was re-homed from Broughton in 1990 and who lived for most of her 16 years with her loving family - most of the latter part at their home in Sweden...

It was a  privilege to have known and loved her

Sadly, Goldie passed away peacefully on the afternoon of the 9th December 2005, with her loving family around her. She is to be buried under the apple tree at the home she loved so much, before the winter snows set in.

a tribute for Goldie...

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

Goldie was a great ambassador for Jerry Green Dogs - lifting the spirits of all who met  her or came into contact with her.
