PIRATE McCAFFREY Reg.No. 2911
1989 - 2006

Pirate
We adopted Pirate from you in 1991
Pirate had reached the age of 17 and was suffering, he had a growth in his
stomach which was also affecting his ability to use his back legs. Our local
veterinary surgeon stated that it was necessary for him to be put to sleep
to prevent pain and distress.
He fell asleep in my arms.
|
PIRATE has been a loving and wonderful companion to not only myself,
but my children when they arrived
Pirate looked after both Leanne and Daniel from birth, protecting them
from visitors when I brought them home from hospital - he really was a
nursemaid! and for 15 wonderful years - we will never forget him. He has
left a gap in our lives that can never be filled.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity of having such a wonderful dog
to enhance our lives.
Rest in Peace Pirate, we love you

GEORGE 1993 - 2006

Steven Alex George and Pudding
George was 'rescued' from Jerry Green's in June 1994 by
Steven when he was about 10 months old. He soon made friends with Pudding
who belonged to Jane, Steven's mum.
George and Tess in the river
In 1999 Steven and George went back home
to live. Sadly Pudding died in 2000 but George quickly made friends with
Tess who belonged to a friend of Jane's.
They went out together most weekends.
|
On February 14 2005 George had to have an eye removed
because of a malignant tumour.
He continued to live a full life, enjoying long walks
and playing with his friends.

George - a few days before he died
He remained very active right to
the end. Sadly, overnight on February 13 he deteriorated and the following
evening he made that last sad trip to the vets.
George is greatly missed by the whole family ...
but we have lots of happy
memories.

DEXTER

This is our gentle giant DEXTER ,
re-homed from Halesworth in 2002.
We were aware of his medical conditions, i.e. severe arthritis to the
back legs.
We had also been told by our vets that he would only have a life
expectancy of a year, we believed we could provide a loving, comfortable
and happy home for the rest of his days.
Our beloved 'big boy' made friends with our other four legged friends
and also became adored by us and our young children, never did he
grumble, bark or show any malice to anyone.
God bless you Darling , now pain free and rest in peace ,
your loving owners xx
R.I.P DEXTER 2002 - 2006
|
Unfortunately on January 20th 2006 , after a few days of DEXTER
appearing not his usual self and having trouble standing, we had to seek
veterinary advice, in which he is now at peace.
We had DEXTER for 4 wonderful years,
He had a heart of gold and brought us more pleasure and love than we
could ever imagine.

SPOT -

A senior dog
with a wonderful heart
who lived to be 17.5
Ten years plus we came to collect a dog called Spot to live with us. He
was an old dog, he had been at the kennels for a long time and apparently
people were not keen to rehome him with them as he was an old dog -7+.
However we liked him and he spent over 10.5 happy years with us.
SPOT was a
wonderful dog he will be greatly missed by us all and my parents who Spot
would have his holidays with- they are equally upset.
He was one of the best, he really was, he was loved by all who ever met
him and so many people have been saddened by his death. But his memory
will stay with us
SPOT - SIMPLY THE BEST
|

He was
a great dog, he was fun, friendly, and very loyal.
If anybody is thinking of taking on an older dog please tell them our
story, he did not cost a lot to keep, vets visits were just routine so
therefore we did not have huge bills just because he was an older dog

BRADLEY
1997 to 2005

The Gentle Giant

loving the kids |

One of the family ...

|
|
Even though we kept his
name Bradley he became Our Bradley Boo Bear, 'Boo' for short. We
were very lucky with him as he was a big softy, a very gentle giant.
He was a very loved member of our family and we miss him each and every
day....

GOLDIE - rest in peace ...
This is Goldie, who was re-homed from Broughton in
1990 and who lived for most of her 16 years with her loving family - most of
the latter part at their home in Sweden...

It was a
privilege to have known and loved her
Sadly,
Goldie passed away peacefully on the afternoon of the 9th December 2005, with
her loving family around her. She is to be buried under the apple tree at the
home she loved so much, before the winter snows set in.

We wish
to thank
her family for the news of her wonderful and special life
- to see her on

a tribute for Goldie...
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!
Goldie was a great ambassador for Jerry Green Dogs - lifting the
spirits of all who met her or came into contact with her.

BO - his family remember ...
This is a picture of our dog Bo, formally called
Bourneville, that we found with you back in Aug/Sept 2003
 |
He has been with us for the past two
years and has been a wonderful dog, we hardly knew he was here because he
didn't bark much (too old for all that I think).
Unfortunately, he has been unwell for a few
weeks and he decided enough was enough and he died yesterday morning. He
followed me into the garden and just laid down in the sunshine and "fell
asleep" with me stroking his head. Bless him.
We wanted to say
thank you for helping us find such a lovely dog.

 |
We got him from you purely
by chance he was the last dog we looked at that day when we came to you.
Rinty was a Black Lab/Rotty
cross with the most amazing character.
I doubt any one remembers
him after this amount of time, but I just wanted to say something about
him, and thank you for taking him in when you did and letting us look
after him.
We had Rinty as a friend
and companion for over 12 years.
He stopped burglars getting
in our home on two occasions, and let my daughter crawl all over him
as a baby with no complaints.
All he ever asked in return
was a cuddle and a head scratch now and again and a treat as soon as you
walked in the door.
|
He was a joy to have as
part of our family
and we will miss him so much.
